Join Tom Dormody of the Bureau of Land Management and hike the 1.5-mile trail to La Cueva on Saturday, January 31st at 9AM. Learn history and ethnobotany of the area including the fascinating story of the La Cueva hermit. “Enjoy broad vistas of the Monument and Mesilla Valley” as well. The hike is easy to moderate.
Meet at the La Cueva 1st parking lot at Dripping Springs. Directions: Take Interstate 10 from El Paso, merge onto Interstate 25. Then Exit 1 on Interstate 25, take University Avenue/Dripping Springs Road east to the end. Fees: Day use fee is $5 per passenger vehicle
