Walk the EPWU’s Enhanced Arroyo Project in Desert El Paso

There has been a long history of conserving water in this place of little water. El Paso Water Utilities has recently begun a project to “enhance” an arroyo so that water infiltrates the desert ground and replenishes the Hueco Aquifer. You can visit and walk this site this coming Saturday, October 25th beginning at 10AM.
Meet at the Painted Dunes Golf Course, 12000 McCombs, at 10 am for a short introduction to EPWU’s water conservation efforts and the Enhanced Arroyo Project.
Then drive to site and walk and talk for 45 minutes. Be sure to wear a hat and sunscreen and dress appropriately for the weather. Bring 1 or more liters of water. Besides the arroyo project, enjoy a drone’s view of conservation efforts above the Hueco Bolson.
